Celebrity couples like Brian O'Driscoll and Amy Huberman have sparked a sudden resurgence in the fairytale wedding. For a great time simple, natural weddings were the trend to be set. Now thanks to a sudden influx of castles and Disney weddings making headlines around the globe, the fairytale wedding is back.

There has been a huge boost, for example, in bookings for the European castle where Huberman and O'Driscoll recently tied the knot. Retailers are also starting to see an increase in sales for frocks that can only be described as "royal". Cinderella inspired dresses certainly seem to be on their way to making a huge comeback this year.

It is not clear what brought this on, other than wealthy celebrity trendmakers who have always had a flair for the dramatic. Is it a sign that the global economic picture is improving or that we just need some more magic in our lives.
